Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

Engineering Warren, MI, USA Full-time

About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned Mechanical Design Engineer to lead the development of our next-generation industrial pumps and fluid handling systems. You will play a crucial role in full-lifecycle design, from conceptualization to manufacturing handoff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead complex mechanical design projects using 3D CAD software (SolidWorks/AutoCAD).
  • Perform structural and thermal analyses using FEA tools.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing teams to optimize designs for DFM/DFA.
  • Mentor junior engineers and conduct rigorous design reviews.
  • Liaise with parent company (ATLAS GROUP) on shared technical standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 7+ years of experience in heavy industrial component design.
  • Expertise in GD&T, material selection, and fluid dynamics.
  • Proven track record of taking complex products to market.
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional leadership skills.
